Every night when it’s time to go to bed, we remind our kids to “brusha brusha.” When it’s time to get ready for school in the morning, the question is asked as well. “Did you brusha brusha yet?”

We don’t ask them to brush their teeth, we ask them to .. brusha brusha.

As in Snoopy Brusha Brusha Toothbrush.

That commercial for the vibrating toothbrush was a staple of any child of the 70s, and represents a glaring hole in my wife’s childhood. Some wanted a bike, or a Barbie – she wanted a Snoopy Brusha Brusha Toothbrush – badly. So badly that nearly 40 years later, she is singing the jingle to her sons as they get ready to brush the- sorry .. brusha brusha their teeth.

She wanted it so badly that when I signed on to work with Crest for their #HealthyRoutines campaign, I tried to buy one to surprise her.

Each one I found for sale online had a disclaimer “does not work.” Well where’s the fun in that?

So when it came time to dive in to the new Crest Pro-Health HD I grabbed the more modern brusha brusha toothbrush from Oral-B, without Snoopy smiling up at me.

The message of that Snoopy in the 70s was simple: make brushing fun, kids will brusha brusha more often, create better habits, and fosters #HealthyRoutines (*wink*).

Note: Crest Pro-Health HD is NOT a product for children, and should not be used by children. But for children of the 70s, it’s got a way to make us brusha brusha more often.

The new Crest Pro-Health HD is a routine. It’s a 2 step process that will force you to have better nighttime and morning rituals. Crest calls it “the biggest breakthrough in toothpaste since fluoride.”

Here’s how it works:

Step 1: brusha brusha for one minute with Step 1, then spit but do not rinse.

step 1

Step 2: brusha brusha for another minute with Step 2, now you can rinse.

step 2

The Step 1 tube is a toothpaste to help with plaque, the Step 2 tube is a whitening agent to brighten everything up. By having 2 processes, the active ingredients in each get to do their magic on their own. And .. look at that, you just brushed your teeth for twice as long.

Why, it’s almost as if you had a Snoopy Brusha Brusha Toothbrush in your hand – that’s not going to happen for my wife, so my gleaming white Snoopy smile will have to do.
