I actually get angry when my wife does groceries. If she comes home with a bag of anything other than toilet paper, clothes for the kids, or cleaning supplies, I’m actually upset.
Our marriage is one of ‘stay in your lane.’ I do the groceries and cooking, she does the cleaning. We meet in the middle on some things, but mostly we stay in our own lanes. For example: I’m not allowed to touch the lawn mower. If I want to surprise her with a trim one weekend, she will get upset. It’s her thing, she likes to do it how she does it, so I let her stay in her lane.
