It’s not spring on the prairies until May. Maybe June. Snow can happen at any time, a day of shorts and shirts replaced by parkas and pants. That’s just how it is.
BUT .. the world of fashion does not wait for the snow to melt before dropping dreams of daisies and budding blossoms. Yes, we are winter in Canada, but spring .. oh spring. It takes far too long to arrive in real life so the chance to dream of it in fashion is a welcome respite.
Each February, longing for a break from winter, we escape for a few days of play in the southern sun. While some wait for a spring break, we take a winter one. This year it was 5 days in Cabo and the whole time we were away, the boys were running and frolicking in the sand in their Peekaboo Beans.
These are the older beans, ones that have been through spring, summer, fall, vacation, and back again. The boys jump into these clothes the moment they come home from school and their suitcases were packed with nothing but for our winter escape.
I’m so glad to be an ambassador for this company that supports free play for kids. The designs are durable, comfortable, unique, and whimsical. The new Peekaboo Beans Early Spring catalog came out in mid February and sports some wonderfully fresh pieces.
Here are some of my highlights I’ve picked out for my sons and nieces.

If you love those new looks, get excited for even more as Peekaboo Beans will now launch 6 collections each year! Keep your eyes peeled for more fresh spring ideas coming in late March and a summer release in May.
