FourSquare Theme Song For Dads

Much hype is greeting the launch of the social networking app (game?) Foursquare as it rolls out in cities across North America. Today it launches in Vancouver.

While the single and childless in the city are all excited to pace each other through the streets hunting down the latest boites and hot spots, for dads of toddlers, like myself, the term “4 square” has entirely different meaning.

Everytime I hear the phrase, I can’t help but think of the series of shorts called 4 Square that show up on Treehouse TV seemingly every 20 minutes.

While the Twitteratti of the city get themselves in a tizzy this week, I’ll have yet another child theme song earworm drilled in to my head.

It’s what foursquare means for dads.

Ha! Thank God somebody else pointed this out! I just kept asking myself “why are they putting out an app for that kids show? Are we supposed to clap and move in synch with it or something?”

Now if you’ll excuse me I have to move it and groove it…

No, Christopher, you’re not the only one. Is it wrong I think Captain Hupette is kinda cute in her lime green Chuck Taylor’s?

Ticka ticka ticka ticka tee tee ta!

Also glad I’m not the only one who was a bit ‘intrigued’ about the new foursquare app.

Just found this blog site, good stuff!
