3 Creative And Modern Authors

3 Dads are out making headlines hard this month. Gary Vaynerchuk, Mitch Joel and Chris Brogan are all proud fathers who have released new social media books.

If you want a book on fatherhood, go and read Be Prepared, these books are about getting out there and harnessing the power of the internet and the connections we can make to create greatness.

These are the kind of creative and modern parents that we love at DadCAMP. The books are exactly what we’re trying to do with this site: create a network of powerful people offering advice, lending a hand and stirring up the conversation just a little bit.

Trust Agents – Chris Brogan

Chris has 2 kids, Harold (3) and Violette (7). He’s a passionate father who started the Dad-O-Matic community as “a place for dads to share thoughts and ideas about parenting.”

Follow Chris on Twitter and you’ll quickly realize how plugged in and busy this dad is. So how does he balance his insane social media schedule with family? That’s tough. Here’s just a sample of what he’s dealing with from a tweet last weekend: Home for about 30 hours. Going to try and absorb some family time before the next volley.

Trust Agents is about using the web to build influence, improve reputation, and earn trust. Brogan’s a trustable figure to bring the message, the book quickly landed on or near the top of every important Best Sellers’ list the moment it was released.

Six Pixels of Separation- Mitch Joel

When it comes to bringing the social media noise, Mitch Joel is more connected than Kevin Bacon. Marketing Magazine dubbed him the “Rock Star of Digital Marketing.” In 2008, Mitch was named Canada’s Most Influential Male in Social Media, one of the top 100 online marketers in the world, and now he wants to connect with you.

Six Pixels of Separation is subtitled “Everyone Is Connected. Connect Your Business to Everyone,” and that, along with his credentials, should be all you need to know about why this is on the lsit.

Crush It! – Gary Vaynerchuk

Gary Vee, as he’s known online, is the newest father in this fraternity – which, perhaps, make his accomplishments the greatest. His daughter, Misha, was born this spring and during those first 6 weeks of insanely sleepless nights, he still found time to Crush It.

Gary’s always been passionate about everything he does, and he seems to have dialled in to the core of what being a father is right away. Here’s a tweet he tossed up last weekend: Put yourself 2nd and you always…I mean ALWAYS…are you listening? ALWAYYYYZ! come in 1st! Isn’t that what being a Dad is all about?

Want to know what this book is about? As with the others, look at the subtitle: Why Now Is the Time to Cash in on Your Passion. A more motivated and motivating motivator one could not find to have in your corner.
